Tom’s Harley Davidson is a 1991 Softail Custom. He got it stock in 2004 from the original owner, his father in law.   Two years later a vehicle pulled an illegal u-turn in front of him and he crashed and burned.

With 5000 dollars in damage to the bike and Tom with a broken back, it was time to select a paint job and an original theme. He did not want the typical flames and skulls, so he decided on a Superman bike. But to make it a little more unique, the bike is the Death of Superman from the 1993 comic book #75. In this comic book, Doomsday comes to earth and kills Superman.

All the custom paint is done by Dave Little Designs in Lancaster. The tank is Supermans cape ripped and torn with a blue suit background. The rear fender is painted with the date and the edition of the comic book inside a triangle. The front fender is painted with Doomsdays name. The air cleaner cover was built by Tom, and is painted with Doomsdays face and a Superman symbol. The horn cover was built by Tom and represents a Krytonite crystal. The saddle bags were built by Tom. On one bag, Doomsday and Superman are in the moment of the Death Blow. On the other bag, Lois Lane is cradling Superman after his death. You will notice that Lois is blond instead of brunette. He took a photo of his wife and had Dave paint her as Lois Lane. The shifter rod was built by Tom and shows Superman flying. The sissy bar cover was built by Tom and is a sticker that shows the actual cover of the #75 comic book. The seat and jackets were done by T&B Promotions in Hesperia. It is done in embroidery. The rear light cover was built by Tom and then water cut to show the Superman VS Doomsday. The rear rack was built by Tom and the letters were water cut. The words Truth, Justice, and American Way are Supermans motto. The flag shows Superman and Doomsday fighting. The flag was made by Enrivaled Impressions in Lancaster.
